Sharing a little of our history
A Venezuelan couple, Mariela and Orlando arrived to Massachusetts more than 12 years ago. He came from Caracas to advance his music career at Berklee College of Music in 1982. She came from Puerto Ordaz to master her English language skills. They both met in the historical city of Boston and it was there where, not only they merged their lives, but also their wonderful God given gift and talent. They share a passion for music. He loves playing his classical and electric guitars and he is also an excellent bass, “cuatro”- Venezuelan 4 string small guitar -, mandolin and requinto (high pitch guitar mainly used on “trio” as lead guitar on boleros) player. Mariela, on the other hand, possesses a sweet, exquisite and loaded voice of different and rich shades. Together, these two “LatinoSouls” delight the most demanding music lovers and romantics, and, if needed, they will get you up and dancing, shy as you might be.

There are no coincidences
When Orlando and Mariela met and he mentioned to her that he was a musician, she did not believe him, and to make sure of it she invited him to her birthday party with "real musicians”, having the conviction that he would not come. When giving him her address, suddenly they realized they lived in the same street, same neighborhood, a block away from each other! When the day came, she not only was surprised to see him arrive at her celebration, but also by noticing his enormous talent, charisma and sense of humor, the “flechazo” (cupid’s arrow) was inevitable, discovering they’d been made for each other. Ever since that moment they’ve been inseparable, and their lives are full of love, laughter and music!
Nowadays
In January of 2005, the warm city of Houston opened its doors to welcome LatinoSoul Duet. Ever since, this extraordinary musical duet has taken its talents to numerous events and well known places, entertaining at various restaurants, private celebrations and corporative events throughout Texas.
